    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

This group of children have completed 10 weeks of horsecare and riding and the funding for them has now ended. The change in this group of kids has been remarkable. All were terrified of horses or heights or both, all lacked self confidence and self esteem. After 10 weeks they were relaxed, happy and beginning to believe they could learn to overcome their self doubt and fears. All the children bonded with their ponies and began to really care about them, helping to look after them before and after their riding meant they began to ride more sympathetically and at the end of their sessions wanted to hug and pet them and began to talk about them both at home and at school.. The group have started to bond together with a common interest and see talent in each other. Sadly their families cannot afford to continue to fund riding and the charity that has paid for the 10 weeks is unable to re-fund the same group. The money raised by this page will enable these children to travel to the stables and ride for a year. I believe in a year we can really make a difference to these children and it will change their lives for the better. The life skills they are developing include, self confidence and self esteem, the ability to care for something else, planning, anger management, co-operation, strategies to overcome their fears, fitness, healthy eating, kindness and to be calm. I believe this access to horses can change the future for these children and I ask you to be part of that. I am happy to give regular updates to doners and you could sponsor a particular child or just donate to the group. The riding school involved is called Divoky Riding School and the rate they charge for riding is a discounted rate from thier normal fee.

All the best with this. I know from the work you did with Matthew that you do great work for these kids. It can really be transformative.

Granddaughter Teigan has loved the experience of riding, it has been the making of her, she is so happy & more relaxed after her lessons, raising funds to help her & others continue is fantastic.
