Story
Now that we have delivered a consignment of materials to some happy children in schools in Sierra Leone and personally supported several children in particularly vulnerable circumstances, we are looking to fund a Bakery in the local town of Makeni where this will give employment to 2 or 3 people and will provide funds towards making Rothuk and Makeli schools self-supporting. The Bakery will also provide food for a lunchtime meal as currently the children often go hungry on only one meal a day. We are also forward planning to help them improve the school buildings and environment and work the garden in the school grounds to grow and sell food besides, again, feeding the children and helping the families. Please do give generously - this is a big ask. We calculate that we will need around £3,000 to reach the above goals but a start would be the figure we have worked out here. When we reach that we can move on!

6 years agoWe are hoping very shortly to provide some simple farming equipment so that the parents and children can farm the land around the school, providing food for the children, more school resources, and improvements to the infrastructure. Please please give generously so that we are able to enrich the lives of these children. Thank you.
