On Monday 10th April 2017 our beautiful neighbour Trish and her boyfriend Matt were told the words we all never want to hear..."Patricia, it's cancer" at only 30 years old.
Like anyone who is diagnosed with cancer, their life has been turned upside down and the journey ahead is going to be a long, tough one.
Dozens of appointments, tests, treatments and surgery awaits, many of which have already started. We are asking for donations to help make the next few months a little bit easier for them financially.
Trish is a nurse and after years of taking care of others she is the now the patient and needs support.
Matt is self-employed meaning that every day he accompanies Trish to hospital he looses a days pay. In a few months Trish's sick pay will be halved. Please donate as much as you can to help support them through this difficult time.
Most importantly Trish will be starting her chemo in 3 weeks and she will loose her hair. Something that no-one, especially a young female wants to happen. Trish has made the decision to purchase a wig. Any money donated will go towards this as well...after a recent appointment with a wig specialist we now know that it will cost between 400 and 500 pounds.
To help raise money Matt and many of Trish's close friends will be completing a 5k run at Mote Park, Maidstone on 15th July. Please join in if you like or come along for support. It will be a day of positivity, fun and celebration.
