Cycling to Istanbul...

What started as a simple question... Has become a reality!

Six months ago Neil asked me if I would like to cycle to Istanbul when we retired... Most definitely!

On retirement our mental health and wellbeing were, and are a priority, but we also wanted to support causes close to our hearts.

We are self-funding the expedition, so all money raised will go to the chosen causes. The expedition will be challenging and we want to enjoy it. Without a doubt, it has taken a great deal of planning, practice and support from our families and friends. Thank you!

On Sunday the 2nd June we will be setting off from our home towns of Horncastle and Scunthorpe to Hull for the ferry to Rotterdam. From there we we be cycling though Holland, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.

Overall we will be cycling approximately 2230 miles to raise money for four important causes:
Cancer Research (50%)
Frithville Primary School PTA (17%)
New York Primary School PTA (17%)
Horncastle Squash Club Flood Fund (16%)
