Story
I would like to raise some much needed funds for a local animal charity called 'Anim-Mates' (which has a sanctuary in Ash, Kent) that looks after rescued animals and tries to find foster homes. This is a tribute to my partner Karen Yardley who was an incredible person who adored animals and would want any animal to be given a second chance to lead a happy life.
In order to do this I am part of a walking group which aims to complete the Dark Peak Challenge (24 miles) in the Peak District on the 14th July.

6 years agoWords cannot express how grateful I am for the support everyone has given to this fundraising effort in memory of beautiful Karen. It is with great pleasure to say that a £1000 cheque was presented to Anim-Mates on the 29th Sep. I would like to say a big thankyou to Teresa and the rest of the team for their hospitality and letting us meet many of the wonderful animals under the care of Anim-Mates. A truly special charity!
