I’m walking to Israel for Peace.

We live in an incredible time of change, where everyone recognises that if we don't change then the world will change. It doesn't have to be painful, We only have to decide.

I feel strongly called by spirit at this time to do this thing. I don't know what its effects will be, but hey you are reading this so who knows. I aim to spread joy and peace on my travels, sharing the message that WE CAN change the world, if only by changing ourselves.

I asked spirit to give me a dog to travel with and I was specific in what I wanted, a bold, intelligent amazing beast, young enough to take to me quickly, I actually doubted it could happen but I recently went to a festival and the first person I met just came up and asked me if I wanted a dog, and he’s everything I asked for. His name is Baloo, He has a passport and is chipped.

I hope to travel with the minimum use of money, relying instead on peoples good will as we meet them to provide food and places to stay But there are unavoidable expenses. I have a flat which I rent and it would be sad to lose, I have some little money which I will be using but certainly not enough. I will have to use at least three ferries, the north sea crossing, then from Italy to Croatia and finally from Athens to either Israel or preferably to Egypt. There will be times no doubt when it all gets too much and I will need to stay in hostels to rest and clean up. Baloo will need feeding, I have no intention of him going hungry even if I have to. I am taking a minimum of stuff and foresee needing to buy things along the way, clothes, possibly camping gear etc as we discover what we need. Finally I hope to fly me and Baloo back. All this will take up to a year. I’m looking to raise £9000 If for any reason the trip is called short then the money unused will be given to a relative charity.
