My name ia Paul Cartwright I fell 80ft 4 storeys from my apartment whilst on holiday in Malta. It left me having blood transfusions, internal bleeding from behind my liver, part of my bowel removed as the fall shattered my pelvis, broken bones in my back, neck, heel and leg and damage to my lungs.

Life changing disability. I am going to have to learn to walk again.

I was in a coma for 2 and half weeks.

Now I have awoken from my two weeks plus induced coma I realise the enormity of my injuries and know that my road to recovery will be a long battle. I have no choice but to focus 100% on my recovery and am unable to work presently. After thinking a lot and planning on what I have to do, I have set up another appeal page directly from me so I can use the funds immediately when needed for rehabilitation costs, refiguring my home etc. I am fully compos mentis now and thank my Auntie Kathy for acting so quickly in responding to my urgent needs. I am hoping that the insurance will pay for some of my costs but investigations are still ongoing and it is a long process. This new Just Giving page is set up by me and will directly help me for my ongoing needs. I am longing to get back home and be surrounded by loved ones, that is what I need that to lift myself through this.
