I've raised £1000 to Many of us had a friend called Bryan who lived “rough” for over 8 years in Truro’s Boscawen Park. He has recently passed away, alone.

Bryan lived life his way. He chose to live “rough” in Truro’s Boscawen Park for 8 years before moving Hayle in 2020 to live in a caravan, where he passed away recently. He had many friends in Truro, lots of whom would pop in to see that he was coping OK. Some would stop and chat, others would bring him food regularly. He was a very kind and intelligent man who loved to read. He was very independent and lived off what little he had. He was never one to feel self pity, as he had chosen his life style and made the most of it. We want to put a memorial plaque in one of Bryan’s “reading rooms”, Sunny Corner, near Malpas in Truro. We also want to arrange a floral tribute for his funeral, whenever that might be. Any surplus funds will be shared amongst the support groups that helped Bryan through the hard times. Truro Methodist Church, St Petrocs, the food bank and the local breakfast club to mention but a few.
Bryan had an impact on those who grew to know and like him. That was evident by the numbers that cared for and offered him help when he needed it. We feel that he needs to be remembered in the best way possible. He will be missed by many. RIP Bryan.
