Story

The Wythenshawe Black Belt Academy is a community based martial arts school that's has been running in wythenshawe since the 1980's.

We currently offer 7 different styles of martial arts 6 days a week to over 200 members of our local community.

Kenpo karate - judo - jujitsu kick boxing - muay thai eskrima - Brazilian jiujitsu

The wythenshawe black belt academy is a registered charity and strongly believe in the old school values of hard work, community and respect.

We offer concessions and discounts to any family that needs it and run a scholarship programme for young people from disadvantaged families.

Currently our youngest student is 3 years old and our oldest is 82.

We have 2 free classes a week, one for victims of domestic violence and an over 50's class.

We tailor all our martial arts practices to the individual and never close the door to anyone. Any age, shape, size ethnicity, sexual orientation and ability levels are welcome at the WBBA.

The club is run completely by volunteers and is in constant need for new safety and training equipment.
