I've raised £1000 to purchase a defibrillator for Charnwood School of Dance and Drama

A cardiac arrest (a heart not pumping) can happen to anyone of any age at any time. When this happens the chances of survival fall by 10% with every minute that passes. Prompt action in calling for an ambulance and starting CPR are vital steps in the treatment of the casualty but it can take an ambulance 8 or more minutes to reach a person in cardiac arrest. A lifesaving automated defibrillator is a safe piece of equipment that can be used by anyone, even without training and can increase the casualty's chance of survival by up to 70%. An automated defibrillator really can be the difference between life and death.
We are starting a fund raising campaign at Charnwood School of Dance and Drama to purchase an automated defibrillator. This year, to start off the campaign, Paul Hodkinson (adult tap) has signed up to do the Rothley 10K. We welcome you to make a donation to sponsor Paul on his run. Your donations really will contribute towards the continued safety of all who attend the dance school and give peace of mind to those they know. We would like to thank you for your generosity.
