Story

Hi everybody,

In July 2025, I am travelling to Northern Pakistan to participate in one of the best mountain treks..... IN THE WORLD! K2 in the mighty Karakoram.

Instead of completing the trip as just a personal goal, I want to use the trip as a catalyst to raise money for two fantastic charities. They are:

The Anthony Seddon Fund (https://tasfund.org.uk/) specialises in mental health and works tirelessly within the Tameside area to promote support groups and help individuals manage mental health challenges.

Once Upon A Smile (https://www.onceuponasmile.org.uk/) specialises in providing help and support services for families going through bereavement and the devastating impact it can have on children in particular.

In 2018, I helped start Red Rock Communications, and since then, my travelling has taken a back seat due to the workloads and commitments of a growing business.

I have always enjoyed adventure travel, and the mountains have always been my favourite place. Having trekked and climbed in Asia, Africa, and Europe, I wanted somewhere to take it to the next level, if possible, so I decided to visit K2.

From now until my trip starts, we will be organising events such as networking, fundraising fun days, online updates, training updates, videos, and other material to share with everyone.

The trip is entirely self-funded and all donations will go to the charities.

You can follow updates on the Red Rock LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/company/red-rock-comms

The trip is organised and run by Jagged Globe, a Sheffield-based business specialising in adventure travel and climbing.

Below is the link to the trip. Please also see the YouTube link for the launch video, which includes further information.
