Story

Helping Oliver

Oliver was just 15 when he received the news that would change his life forever - he was diagnosed with a brain tumour called Oligodendroglioma. The diagnosis came as a complete shock to Oliver and his family, who never imagined that such a terrible disease could afflict him at such a young age.

Soon after his diagnosis, Oliver underwent an 8-hour long surgery at the Leeds hospital to remove the tumour. He also received chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment over the following months. Although the treatments were tough, Oliver remained strong and resolute in his fight against the disease.

Over the next nine years, Oliver went through two more surgeries as the tumour returned. He also had another round of radiotherapy, which brought its own set of challenges. However, throughout this time, Oliver remained determined to live his life to the fullest and make the most of every moment.

Sadly, the tumour has now been categorised as terminal. That's why his family and friends have launched a fundraising campaign to help him live his best life and create unforgettable experiences.

The campaign aims to raise funds to give Oliver the financial support he needs to enjoy the rest of his life fully. They hope to help him go on fun trips, attend concerts, and participate in other activities that will bring him joy and create lasting memories.

Oliver's story is a reminder of the importance of living life to the fullest, despite the challenges we may face. His strength and resilience are an inspiration to us all, and his determination to make the most of every moment is a testament to the human spirit.

We can all learn from Oliver's example and strive to make the most of every opportunity we have. By supporting campaigns like the one for Oliver, we can help those facing tough times to create happy memories that will last a lifetime.
