Story
KO COVID-19
During these difficult times, we are all experiencing challenges that will affect many people’s health, social lives and livelihoods for a long time to come.
As one of the 950+ amateur boxing clubs in England who are run entirely by voluntary coaches, we give up an average of 4 nights every single week to run the Bognor Regis Amateur Boxing Club. We do this for the benefit of our local communities and our gym is a sanctuary for many young people in Bognor Regis and the surrounding areas. We have been here serving local kids from 9 years upwards for 97 years now.
Our volunteers manage to train our members by covering essential overheads primarily through a combination of subscription fees (subs) and fundraising by hosting boxing shows for the public.
At this stage we need to ensure we survive the impact that coronavirus is having on our wonderful club. We will still need to cover our overheads throughout the coming weeks and possibly months, but with no income to do so.
That is why we are backing the “KO COVID-19” campaign, appealing for members of the local community and supporters of amateur boxing to donate whatever they can to our long standing club. Please help ensure that when we as a nation have KO’d Covid-19, our amateur boxing club has weathered the challenge and can welcome our boxers back.
Any donation great or small is appreciated.
Many thanks and kindest regards from the Bognor Regis Amateur Boxing Club 🥊 🤝
