Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, we sadly lost our Mum back in May 1992 when she was merely 45 years old. As I have reached the same age, I would like to mark her anniversary by running a marathon in her memory, while supporting some local causes.
My marathon will start from her childhood home in Cloughfin, outside Ballygawley, making my way to her marital home in Corleaghan, Clogher. As she was a woman of great faith, I am making a few additional stops along the way, including St Marys Church in Dunmoyle, where she was baptised and married, onto St Macartans Forth Chapel before finally passing St Patricks Church in Clogher where she was laid to rest, before the final trek to Corleaghan.
In reflecting her kind and generous nature, I am hoping to raise money for 3 worthwhile causes; firstly, the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance, who supported my colleague Shauna's family during a tragic accident last Christmas; secondly, The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, who were instrumental in bringing my aunt Julie home when she sadly passed away last year; and finally, Clogher Eire Ogs GFC youth teams, a cause that is always very close to my heart.
