Hi, I'm Paul, 2 years ago I was a victim of crime that caused me to have a nervous breakdown, the criminals were prosecuted but I had to flea from my family and son to gaurentee my safety, I lost everything, my home, my partner,my animals and more importantly, I now live a fair distance from my son, I have now been diagnosed with PTSD which I'm finding extremely hard to battle whilst still in this rut.
Since having spent 12 months on my mothers floor and sofa surfing I managed to find a property but was in such a state it needed gutting,something which I wasn't well enough to do, the landlord agreed that he would waver a lot of the fees i.e.,bond,monthly advance and free rent,to allow me to afford the property, I have now been in the property for almost a year but I still sleep on the floor as I'm in need of the final pieces

the past 12 months I have managed to create a relaxing space whilst bringing back the former glory of exposed beams and making a bed,upcycle style! From bed slats,a blanket box and other pieces, I'm hoping to spend Christmas Eve waking up in a bed and be clean, this will make a huge difference in my mental health and also give me the opportunity to have my son over for Christmas with a room that's safe and clean. a mattress,skirting boards,blinds and materials to finish the bathroom, new bath and have it fitted would be amazing,I have managed to save and get 80% done but I now im finding it hard to meet the Christmas deadline as finances are extremely limited.

all in all, the past 2 years have been a challenge, A test?, for what ever the reason, I know we have to pick ourselves back up and to get a little help to achieve this would be extremely grateful.
