Story

Circle of Friends is a drop in group for people who have or had Mental health issues. We offer Support and advice and empower members to get confidence to interact with others and do things for themselves. The group is run twice per week and is run by service users. It is based in Selly Oak, Birmingham and has been going for around 20 years. We were funded by a Mental health charity for 18 years and due to funding cuts we had to apply to lottery for the next two years. our Group helps members from being issolated and through social Interaction and encouraging members to help group and organise events and trips etc, we have helped many members improve their confidence and do things they may never.Have been able to do this includes finding work, volunteering and also just being able to go out and communicate with others. The group is a safe place for all people aged over 18 who have had mental health issues to be able to be their selves and be accepted by other members. Circle of Friends We really would like to keep this valuable group going and continue the good work for the future
