Story
Update:
We are so pleased to say that through the kindness and generosity of everyone who has donated, we have been able to raise enough to give our mum the funeral she deserves.
We are beyond touched by the compassion and empathy that everyone has shown, even those who didn't know her. We have had donations from so many people, including the Gravel Road Trust who have made such a difference to so many people, the work they do is just amazing.
This has made what has been the most difficult of times a little bit easier and we want to say thank you to everyone. Xx
Mum’s funeral will be held at Swanpool Chapel on Tuesday 2nd July at 1pm. Anyone who would like to attend, if you were close to my mum, liked my Mum or even just knew her, you’re more than welcome to attend.
Please feel free to wear what ever you feel comfortable in. Further details will follow shortly.
It is with great sadness that we share this news, on Monday 3rd June we very sadly lost our loving mum, Paula Chapman in a very tragic and unexpected way. These have been the hardest days we could ever imagine and we already miss her so much.
To lose someone so close, is always so very sad, however losing someone so suddenly adds the worry of being unprepared for the huge costs involved. We just didn't plan for this and thought we had many more years with our mum in our lives. It absolutely breaks our hearts that we can't just give our mum the send off she deserves.
As a family we have never asked for anything and would love to be able to do this on our own but with just the minimum deposit of £1000 but the overal cost for a funeral in the region of £3000 - £5000, this feels like an impossible task and is causing us real worry.
So it is in this very dark time that we turn to our friends and family for any help that can be offered. We would gratefully accept any donations that would allow us to show our beloved mum, nanny, sister and friend just how much we love her and how much she will be missed.
In leui of flowers the family would gratefully accept donations to help us during this difficult time. We would appreciate the sentiment very much.
Not only have we so much to think about with funeral arrangements but at this time we would like nothing more than for our sister Kara to be able to come home to say goodbye to mum. She is what feels like a million miles away from her family at a time when all she wants the most is to be with them at this time of such sadness.
We would like to say a big thank you to those who have been there for us in these last few days, it is the love and support of those closest that helps us when we need it most.
Kindest regards
Chris, Dan, Lee, Kara and Jaz
