    Story

This is the offical fundraising page of helpdominica.co.uk My name is Paula, my family come from the Island of Dominica. They have recently suffered devastation as the result of several hurricanes, the latest being Hurricane Maria which took place 16th September. Since this time there had been no communication from my loved ones due to power lines being down.
At this stage we know that the infrastructure has been damaged but we do not know the full extent. All we know is that help is needed and quickly.

Good morning, To Date with your help we have raised £960 for Dominica.. hurricane Maria struck in September and I was able to go out in October for a first-hand account. The island was devastated! The country that I had previously visited had a beautiful green and picturesque scenary. When we landed, it initially looked like a stark English winters day. After leaving Dominica & coming home we have continued to help by sending barrels of food, torches, candles, school equipment and everyday essential items that the locals need. Thank you all🙂
