£50raised of £1,000 target by 4 supporters

Weʼre raising £1,000 to support Avenues East - An organisation that supports people with autism, living in supported housing and people with learning difficulties

Bury Saint Edmunds, UK

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Level 1 sports and public services students wanted to take on a challenge and amongst those suggested was climbing Mount Snowdon, in Wales.

There needed to be a purpose to this and I remembered a previous level 1 student who has progressed and travelled an inspirational journey, both personally and academically. Avenues East supported him.

The students would also be building on character strengths and developing team working skills as well as motivation and dedication to completing a task.

To combine both, they suggested that they could raise sponsorship money to donate to the Avenues Group East which is a group that helps young adults with a variety of difficulties. This organisation helped the above student and is continuing to support him.
