At West Coventry Academy we have successfully run the Duke of Edinburgh programme for the past 10 years. We were fortunate at the time to have some funding for kit but obviously after many expeditions this is now in need of replacing. We are fully self-funding and take no money from the school budget so have only been able to buy the essentials and repair where possible.

As most of the people that know me probably realise I have not done much in the way of fitness/sport since stopping playing netball about 15 years ago.

We have just taken a group of 18 students to Norway to complete their Gold DofE award in July and staff walked the same distance as them around 40 mile over 4 days carrying full kit.

Please support me to give me the boost I need to complete the walk and inspired other students to complete their award in the future.
