It is with great sadness and an incredibly heavy heart that I find myself announcing the sudden passing of Paul Robert Britten on 31st October 2018, aged 51 years.

Myself and the family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming outpouring of love and well wishes we have received from all corners of the globe. Your support, messages of love and shared memories have provided great comfort at this immensely difficult and unbearable time.

Paul has always been known for his zest for life along with an unrivalled desire and ability to make the lives of others better. No finer example of this was his relationship with Fungie (pictured above), and how Paul made it possible for everyone to participate in this unique experience along with him.

We feel it is entirely fitting that Paul's legacy should live on in the form of a Trust in his name. Any donations received in memory of Paul will further his passion by facilitating interactions and encounters with marine wildlife in their natural habitat. The work of the Trust will not only provide an educational experience and ensure the marine environment is treasured, but also enable a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity for those who need it.
