Our daughter Paige suffered from brain injury during birth. This led to a 3 day hypothermic treatment to limit the level of damage. This cooling mat of which alarmingly there are only 4 of in Scotland is something we are looking to donate to further. Paige has quadriplegic cerebral palsy which affects muscle tone of four limbs. This means sitting is still a challenge at 16 months and walking will take a huge amount of physio regardless of treatment results.

We have learned of cord blood stem cell therapy which has had very positive results and is the main treatment being used in Australia as a trail throughout the country and is expected to be routine treatment in the next 20 years.

The most advanced of stem cell therapy research and treatment are in North America which is where we are looking to take Paige through cord blood NHS.

We look to fund travel ourselves but are looking to raise funds for the treatment which is a simple transfusion which can have hopefully great results. This therapy has been priced between 12k to 15k so any surplus funds would then go to the cooling mat that helped us so much at the very start.

Tough Mudder has been completed and am still sore from it, but has raised awareness and funds.
