Weʼre raising £34,000 to Raise funds for the Paul Heys Memorial Buoy

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

We are raising money to install a Paul Heys yellow racing buoy in the Central Solent to commemorate one of the world's inspirational individuals. Paul Heys helped so many of us to enjoy our hobby, whether it was helping with crew, sorting our boats or boosting morale in the bar. The cost to drop and maintain the buoy for 10 years is circa £20k, the cost for 20 years is circa £34K, so the more we raise, the more likely that his grandchildren will have the opportunity to race around it.

I can't wait to race round this buoy and bring back good memories of Paul.

Remembering Paul's endless enthusiasm for our sport and his sometimes critical, but always constructive, advice and encouragement to us all on Jumunu. He will be greatly missed.
