Story
Hi,
We are Paws Crossed Survivors ! A team of two women (English and Egyptian) and we run a dog sanctuary in Egypt, which is home to many dogs who sadly cannot, be rehomed. These dogs undergo unimaginable cruelty and suffering.
In Addition to this, we run a STREET PAWS PROJECT which sees us feeding and supporting local stray dogs in the desert near Giza. We help those who are starving, injured, abused and needy. We have feeders outside our sanctuary and Sana our co founder actively goes out the feed starving stray ' Baladi' dogs. They are regular abused and hurt by the local population and suffer immensely in the heat and through lack of food/water.
STREET PAWS PROJECT also includes spaying a neutering campaigns where we spay dogs to stop breeding in our local area and hopefully stem the cycle of suffering . There are no animal welfare organisations in Egypt or animal rights - they rely on us and other small splinter groups who are trying to do the same.
Currently we are raising funds for our next few months kibble funds and another spaying program at our very small in site clinic. We hope to raise £2000 to help cover the next 4 months of work - inc kibble funds and spaying and covering any new recent cases that Sana has rescued.
Please consider helping us - as they only have us! But we cannot do it without you. We need your support. Thank you In advance!
