I've raised £4000 to Raise money to help buy Millie May Jones a much needed Peapod chair.

Millie May is 17 years old, a beautiful, happy, funny, loving girl who suffers from costello syndrome which is a very rare syndrome with multiple symptoms. Millie has global development delay, breathing difficulties which means she sleeps on a ventilator at night together with a therapeutic bed for support, she feeds via a gastrostomy tube for all her feeds. Millie suffers from scoliosis and is wheelchair bound, relying on others for 100% care, moving around and participating in all the activities that we all take for granted.
The Pea Pod chair will give Millie wonderful support, moulded to her specific needs to ensure that she is both comfortable and given the tailored physical support that her body needs. It will also give her another seating option outside her wheelchair which again we all take for granted – sitting in different places - but for Millie May there is only one option right now. This will offer her the variety and choice for the future that she will love and enjoy. The chair also comes with a frame + wheels enabling her to be moved around whilst sitting comfortably.
Please help us raise money towards this wonderful chair and bring an even wider smile to Millie May’s face..
Your sincerely, Garry, Joe, Dion and Boris.
Garry, Joe, Dion and Boris are a combination of work colleagues and friends who all share a passion for endurance sports, mountain bikes and good causes. They are enthusiastic weekend warriors who have taken on a multiple day endurance challenge of cycling across England. With the start in St. Bees, Cumbria in the West and the end in Robin Hoods Bay in the East, the gruelling off road cycle will cover ~300 km and just over 5,500 meters of climbing.
This challenge requires mental, physical and logistical preparation along with plenty of endurance and perseverance. Endurance and perseverance underpin the values of the charity we have chosen for this effort. Dave and Emma Jones are Milly’s parents. Milly May has Costello Syndrome and we are hoping that our efforts will go a small way towards easing the challenges faced by Millie May, Dave and Emma on a daily basis. The funds we raise will go towards the cost of a much needed Pea Pod chair for Milly May.
As we ride Milly May, Emma and Dave will be in our thoughts, and when we are feeling challenged, we’ll reflect upon the fact that for us, this challenge is an adventure, whereas for Milly May, Emma and Dave it is a lifestyle.
