I've raised £10000 to make memories for our 3 little boys and support the Sibling Project at the BDFA by cycling from Amsterdam to Cambridgeshire.

Firstly we would like to thank you for taking the time to read this page. Secondly we would like to tell you about the event we are doing and why.
There are 9 very dedicated and caring men that are going to take on the challenge of cycling all the way from Amsterdam back to our home town of Wisbech in just 3 days. None of these amazing men are cyclists or have done anything like this before but are training hard and are dedicated to the cause. They will be arriving home to a well deserved hero’s welcome and party evening entailing live music, auction, raffle and a BBQ all of which will take on the form of a fundraising event to go alongside their sponsorship.
All of this is in aid of the charity BDFA- Battens Disease Family Association and our 3 little boys Finley 10, Arthur 8 and Harrison 5 and making memories for them. All monies raised will be shared 50/50 between our boys wish list and the Sibling Project at the charity. You may not have heard of the charity as it is very small due to the disease being extremely rare with the strand CLN3 affecting between 30-40 children in the UK. The work it does especially for us families effected is absolutely vital and the only support available to us so desperately needs supporting. Finley and Harrison are both affected by strand CLN3 of this life limiting and degenerative neurological disease which will not only take their sight, their memory and their physical abilities but it will also take them from us and their beloved brother Arthur too soon.
But.....with support from people like you we can make incredible memories for us all to treasure by fulfilling their wish lists along with supporting other families devastated by this cruel disease through funding the work done by family support workers at the charity .
We thank you again for your time and anything you may be able to do to support the event.
Much love
Team Dodkin
