Most of you know Pedge, for those who don't know, Pedge Wadley cosplays asC-3PO. Beginning his build in 2012 Pedge has created one of the most accurate and best looking 3PO Cosplays I've seen. From the costume to the acting, voice and mannerisms of 3PO, you would think you have met 3PO straight from the movies. Pedge has been attending various builder meets and events over the years and has helped raise plenty of money for charity but sadly one of our own now needs our help.

Pedge has had a limp which upon being checked by a doctor turns out to be drop foot. He was reffered to see a Nerve specialist to find out the cause but sadly has been diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease) which for those who don't know is a condition that affects the brain and nerves. It causes weakness that gets worse over time and eventually Pedge will have difficulties cosplaying as 3PO. Pedge has brought such happiness to many during his time at events dressing up as C3PO (he even got the seal of approval from Anthony Daniels himself) and he has loved every second of it.

Currently Pedge needs medication that will help slow his condition down whilst he is waiting to get on a list to see a specialist that deals with MND however until then he is unable to get the medication he needs on the NHS and has to pay £500.00 per month for his medication. Pedge has a family with two wonderful children and especially at this current time things are even more difficult. If we can raise even one months worth of money for this medication then that means one month of not having to worry about finances for Pedge and his family.

I am trying to raise £3000.00 which would equate to 6 months worth of medication but absolutely anything and everything is welcome. 6 months of stress free, worry free time Pedge can spend getting the help he needs and spending as much time with his family as he possibly can.

Droid Builders are one huge family, Star Wars fans are an even bigger family and I would hate to think any member of this family is going through something as terrible as this on their own. I hope everyone can donate whatever they can to help this great cause, one of our own needs us so lets all stand together!

Any extra money raised will be going to an MND charity.
