PEDS continues to receive an increasing number of referrals from people needing help and works hard to ensure people are seen within a week and contacted within 24-48 hrs. Weekly sessions are delivered by eating disorder professionals with a focus on helping someone understand their symptoms and develop ways of coping. Daily support is frequently given to sufferers by email and telephone and this is often taken up by the carers /families too. Training and support is delivered to schools, colleges, GPs, hospitals, clubs and other societies /organisations however there is a continued funding challenge with the need to continue and expand the service. PEDS does not receive any government income. PEDS relies solely on donations and a very small local community grant but this is not enough to see everyone that needs help. So, PEDS continues to look for funding in other ways....

Martyn and Christy (both family members of the Founders of PEDS) are taking to the skies to raise money. Neither have ever done a skydive and both are very brave so let's make it worth their while. All sponsors are much appreciated and will go towards continued growth and development of PEDS, enabling people to get help quicker, be seen in their homes if required whilst training provided across the region (and beyond when funds allow) to schools, GPs and hospitals.
