Story
Peeblesshire JAC members are taking on a challenge with a difference — pushing a bed all the way from West Linton to Peebles on Sunday 21st September to raise money for three fantastic causes: SAYFC’s Big Build, RHET (Royal Highland Education Trust), and various Peeblesshire charities that support our local community.
🚧 SAYFC Big Build
The Big Build is an exciting initiative by the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) to create a permanent home and hub for rural youth across Scotland. This centre will offer space for training, events, mental health support, and leadership development – ensuring a lasting impact for the next generation of young farmers.
🌾 RHET – Royal Highland Education Trust
RHET delivers invaluable education about farming, food, and the countryside to schoolchildren across Scotland. From farm visits to classroom sessions, RHET helps young people understand where their food comes from and the role of agriculture in daily life – something we’re proud to support as a rural organisation.
❤️ Peeblesshire Charities
We’re also raising funds for a number of local charities right here in Peeblesshire – supporting the people and causes that make our community stronger.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us push forward (literally and figuratively!) for these amazing causes. Thank you for your support – we’ll see you on the road!
