Story

On October 23rd, Scott Pickles and John Deehan will be attempting to ‘lap’ Pendle Hill as many times as possible in 24 hours.

The idea came from Scott after his trip to Everest Base Camp this year was postponed in light of the ongoing pandemic.

He wanted to replace one challenge with another, and after completing 25 laps of Pendle in 25 days earlier this year he decided he wasn’t quite done with the hill.

Setting off from the bottom gate (347m), each loop will take in a 210m climb covering a distance of 1.5 mlle.

It’s going to be mostly dark, most likely miserable and undoubtedly, a bit of a slog.

We will be raising money for Burnley-based charity PH7 Wellbeing.

PH7 specialises in mental health support.

Their free four-week courses, targeting depression and anxiety, are only made possible through private fundraising.

No donation is too small, and any amount you can spare us would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
