Linking Lives Eastbourne is a new charity set up by Old Eastbournian Byron Stevens which seeks to respond to the needs of the lonely and isolated in Eastbourne.

Our boarding house - Pennell House - is named after Dr Theodore Pennell who after leaving Eastbourne College and qualifying as a medical doctor travelled to Bannu in modern day Pakistan where he too responded to the needs of his new community, setting up a school and a hospital. He was born in the same year that the College was founded.

So in celebration of the birth of both the College and Theodore Pennell 150 years ago and in recognition of Dr Pennell's philanthropic work, the boys, staff and friends of Pennell House are going to attempt run/walk or stagger over a collective distance of 1500 kms on Sunday 23rd April to raise money for those in need in our community. That's a 10 km stretch for every year since 1867.

We will be splitting donations between Linking Lives Eastbourne and the College's transformational P150 project.
