I'm raising £1000 to send three children to school in India who would otherwise be without an education.

Story

Pennies Build Pounds in Our Pot!

Since 2023, Alice and Natalie have been fundraising to support three children in India (Priyanka, Prakash and Punam) helping to give them access to something their parents never had: an education.

Alice and Natalie first met the family many years ago (2009) in Goa, and over time that connection has grown into something that feels like family. Mumpta and Ganesh, who are originally from Karnataka, have worked incredibly hard their entire lives to provide for their children.

They were married at just 13 and 15 years old, and neither of them had the opportunity to attend school. Because of this, they deeply understand how powerful education can be in changing their children’s future.

Thanks to the generosity of others, there has already been life-changing progress:

✨ Priyanka is now in boarding school

✨ Prakash is now in boarding school

✨ Punam attends school each day and returns home in the evenings

Alice is currently in India for the month of April and has been able to spend time with the children during their half-term. Seeing their development first-hand has been incredibly emotional - since 2023, they have come on leaps and bounds and are now spelling, counting, and speaking some English.

This opportunity is giving them more than just an education - it is giving them independence, confidence, and a chance at a completely different future!

The fundraising is ongoing to ensure the children can continue their education and thrive. Donations will go directly towards:

School fees

Uniforms and learning supplies

Boarding accommodation

Ongoing educational support

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference - because pennies truly do build pounds, and pounds can change lives.

Thank you for supporting this journey! We are so grateful for your support.
