I've raised £268 to support WATERisLIFE

We will be hiking 268 miles starting in Edale, venturing through the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, North Pennines and Northumberland all the way to Kirk Yetholme which is over the border in Scotland.
Yes you heard it right, we're walking to Scotland!
I've read that 90% of those that begin the walk don't make it all the way, but health permitting we SHALL be in the victorious 10%.
We'll be carrying all our gear and food and camping wild and are aiming to complete the walk in 19 days. I know - it sounds hellish, but we love all things outdoorsy and are up for the challenge.
When planning for the trip we came across water filter bottles that allow you to safely drink potentially contaminated water. This is a really simple and clever technology that will enable us to safely drink water from streams en-route and significantly reduce the weight we are carrying. Thankfully this is a piece of kit that us privileged Percy's will rarely have to use.
We often take water for granted but there are still 1.8 billion people in the world who lack access to safe drinking water.
Women and children around the world spend over 70 billion hours a year walking for water
For these people, water filters give LIFE., which is why we have decide to raise money for the charity WATERisLiFE.
WATERisLIFE is on a mission to provide safe drinking water to 1 billion people by December 2020
Bringing innovative water technologies and education to those in need, they offer a sustainable solution to end the water crisis.
We will be matching the fundraising target and donating £268 ourselves. If we hit our target then this will provide nearly 100,000 gallons of clean drinking water.
