Welcome to our JustGiving page where we hope to achieve our goal in raising £200 for our chosen charity, Histio UK, which helps treat and support those suffering from rare diseases that fall under the umbrella of Histiosytosis.

One such disease known as Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) is so rare that only 50 children in the UK are diagnosed every year, one such child being a daughter of a close family friend. It took several weeks for her condition to be recognised as her symptoms were not commonly linked with anything as sinister as a cancer. Fortunately her tumour was benign and although she continues to be monitored, she is considered one of the lucky ones. For the many children out there that aren't so lucky or for those parents still waiting for a diagnosis for their child's symptoms, awareness and training needs to be made so that these little ones can be treated quicker and more successfully.

We want to do our bit in raising as much awareness as possible, as such we will be taking part in the Moonlight Colourthon half marathon on Saturday 7th of July along with eight others hoping to raise as much money as possible for Histio UK. All we ask is a small donation in order to achieve this. We thank you for your support in doing this and together we can make a difference.
