I'm raising funds for a community project

The Globe Bowling and Billiards club is desperately in need of a new roof and we are trying to fund raise to make this possible.

The Globe club has been functioning since 1895 built originally as a tea rooms for Howard and Bullough recreation. The globe has been a central hub of the community for many years with Crown green bowling ,Snooker and pools teams at the centre. The Globe in the past has seen many hard times and his come close to closure having to sell its antique tables and chairs to pay debts but for the whole committee including on the bar running the club for nothing it would certainly have closed.

The club is struggling with the rise in VAT and NI in Hospitality sector among the rising costs of fuel bills and food costs.

The club has a major issue which is a large hole in the roof which fundraising is being done to the cost of £50’000, Times have changed in social habits of people and any Hospitality is a tough industry.

We have lots of planned events the next one.....

The Globe fundraiser Walk on Saturday the 4th of October 2025 so if anyone would like to sponsor or donate evey little helps to this worthwhile Cause.
