Interact Stroke Support is a charity close to my heart. They support stroke recovery by having professional actors read to stroke patients, helping to stimulate their brain, memory, language recovery and help navigate their way by boosting their spirits, becoming more confident in communicating, improving their mood and alleviate depression which can be an after effect of suffering a stroke. I‘ve been a reader for many years, it’s a two way experience, and to be able to help and see the immediate effect one can have as a reader is mind blowing.
