Hi,

My name is Kirsty Williams and I am the Chair Person of Pen-Y-Cwm Special School PTA. I have a son who attends Pen-Y-Cwm so I hold the school very close to my heart.

Pen-Y-Cwm is a fantastic school that caters for over 100 pupils, many of which have physical difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders and on times, life-limiting conditions.

I am dedicated to helping them raise money to benefit every child in the school. We are currently raising money for a school minibus.

Pen-Y-Cwm seeks to give each and every one of their youngsters as broad an education as possible and seek to have active involvement in our community so having a minibus to cater for all our students is essential.

In order to do this, we are planning a number of events throughout the year to try and raise money.

We are planning a Charity Car Wash, Raffles, a summer fete, a autumn production of Joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat, as well as thinking of other fundraising ideas.

A minibus can cost between £30,000 - £40,000. Plus we have the additional costs of having it adapted to be wheelchair and disability friendly so we would love it if everyone could help us out, Every single penny counts.
