Story

Pepper is our miniature dachshund who just after her third birthday (November 2019) came down with the dreaded IVDD. We took her to a specialist neurological vet Anderson Moore's and shortly after she had spinal surgery due to a disc having prolapsed and impeding on to her spinal column.

After a very tricky 5 hour surgery and 6 weeks of strict crate rest, pain medication and rehabilitation, she was back to her old gorgeous, attentive, soppy, self but with some major adjustments to our household (stairgates, ramps and lots of love).

Unfortunately, 8 weeks post surgery she had a 'wobble' and she started walking slowly and began to shake. Back to the vets we went and she was put on pain medication and crate rest . After four days and doing well, she took a turn and refused to walk and with obvious pain so back to the specialist at Anderson Moore's she went.

Unfortunately due to Pepper having major spinal surgery along with the associated pre and after care only 8 weeks ago at a cost of over £7,000, our insurance may not cover this latest episode.

We will find the money anyway we can, but we are asking for any donations to help us.

Thank you all for the constant love and support
