Here we are: 7 ordinary secondary school students with extraordinary dreams and ambitions.

Inspired by CAMPS International and former students we are also hoping to embark on a journey of a lifetime, but we need YOU. We want to involve YOU in our journey to making a positive difference to a community in need.

Our plea to you:

Living in a community where our rights are considered their basic necessities or needs; we want to see change. Now.

Now you wouldn't necessarily class Peru as one of the world’s ‘poorest’ countries, given it’s home to one of the wonders of the world. However, there are two Perus- one whose capital is bustling with investment potentials, and one whose indigenous people go hungry on a daily basis. Outside of the capital people have a lack of electrical power and basic education; most citizens, especially women and indigenous people, are suffering and starving. Their health is deteriorating and needs attention urgently.

The 20 million people living outside of the capital. The lack of food is chronic in rural areas and because education of agriculture is not available (land rights is not always clear either) people can even find it hard to grow their own crops.

In addition racial tensions have divided the country. The poor are dark-skinned indigenous and the rich are fairer.

In order to promote unity, harmony and the ability to coexist despite any differences, we need you to help us reach this target. We intend to do some construction work in order to provide decent shelter and classrooms for ‘street children’; we will spend some time teaching English and playing sports with children in the hope of bringing the parents and children closer in the community. We will also be helping the local community with agricultural tasks/farming.

Fundraising is the first hurdle and we are desperately trying to reach our individual targets of £4000 each!!!!!!!!!
