I've raised £500 to help fund Marketing materials such as Leaflets, Stickers & Social Media Ads to help spread the word about Petals of Positivity.

On International Women's Day 2024, Olive Owl Flowers from Wigan left five bunches of Flowers for strangers to find and take home. That same day, Michaela, a mother of two struggling with postnatal depression, went to Gathurst Station with the intention of ending her life.
Michaela found one of the bunches, which made her feel seen and valued, reminding her that she still had a journey worth exploring. After some reflection, she reached out to Sarah from Olive Owl Flowers, explaining how these flowers had essentially saved her life.
This moment sparked the creation of Petals of Positivity. Sarah was amazed at how a simple gesture could have such a profound impact and became determined to hand out more free bouquets and encourage other florists to do the same.
Since then, Sarah and Michaela have joined forces to tackle Mental Health issues in the UK, one petal at a time. Nearly 60 florists across the country have pledged to participate in this Floral Mental Health Movement.
Recently, Michaela and Sarah brainstormed ways to spread the word about their campaign. They plan to create leaflets and flyers to distribute in Local Communities and Florists, as well as boost their online presence through social media ads.
They've also received inquiries from non-florists asking how they can help. Donations are greatly appreciated, but there are other ways to contribute too—such as distributing leaflets to Local Florists, helping Florists hand out bouquets, or purchasing Petals of Positivity stickers.
It's been a rollercoaster for Sarah and Michaela since that International Women's Day, but they are determined to make the world a better place, one flower at a time.
