Story

Everybody knows how crazy I am!... So I have set myself the challenge of completing 40 challenges over the next 12 months to raise money for two young Peterborough United supporters Dan McLellen and Louis King.

Dan is 11 years old and has a rare type of congenital muscular dystrophy. There are less than 300 children in the world like him who have been diagnosed with this condition. Many children with this condition never walk and some, like him, struggle with stairs, running and balance. It is a progressive condition so as he gets bigger, getting around and staying well is going to be harder for him. There is currently no cure but there is hope. There are plans for a clinical trial of a new drug and lots of efforts to understand more about the type of MD that he has. The support you give will help Dan and to help fund that work.

Louis is 10 years old and was born with Downs Syndrome and a Ventricular Septal Defect in his heart. Despite his learning and physical disabilities, Louis is an incredibly happy, friendly and sociable boy who loves meeting people and trying new things. Louis was invited by The Free Kicks Foundation to model the new Peterborough United Home Kit at the club’s kit launch back in 2017 and that’s where Louis’ passion for all things Posh began. Louis now sets about trying to raise as much money as he can to support the charity to continue the amazing work they do supporting disadvantaged children.

Any donations you can give no matter how big or small, will all be gratefully received and I thank you in advance…
