I've raised £10000 to Help to build a single story extension with a bedroom/wet room to keep Peter who has Terminal Brain Cancer at home for as long as possible.

Peter is a well loved and respected builder who in the beginning of November 2016 was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour, 3 weeks later he had Brain Surgery to have the Tumour removed, although 100% of the Tumour was taken Peter was told that it was Grade 4 and was terminal and that his life expectancy was 10-14 months. So far Peter has had Chemo waffles put directly into his head, he has had harsh Radio Therapy along with Chemo Therapy for 6 weeks and a further harsh Chemo Therapy for 6 months.
At the beginning of September Peter was told that the chemo is not working and that he needed another brain surgery to have a 2nd bigger tumour removed, which he had on the 15th September. Peter is now waiting to find out what is going to happen next, if they will give him more chemo or if they will just wait to see if he is strong enough for another brain surgery.
Peter's wish is to remain at home with his wife and 2 children, but to enable him to do this with dignity the family need to build an additional downstairs living space with a bedroom and wet room facilities for which an extension needs to be built. Peter was hoping to do this with part of his expected life insurance but due to an oversight they have only received 50%, which means there is still a sizeable mortgage, and very little to cover the cost of what he needs to have built, hence the request for help to provide this much needed space.
Peter is always at the heart of any laughter and is always there if you are in need of any help - Now we are hoping that there are good people out there like him who will help by donating so we can keep him at home where he belongs and where he is surrounded by the people who he loves.
