I've raised £1000 to raise money for Goldenhar support group and Ribchester Rovers

Hi all, my name is Peter Hargreaves, 33 years old, I'm wanting to raise money for Goldenhar syndrome Support group and Ribchester Rovers, both organisations mean a lot to me. So I've set a personal challenge of having my first boxing match through Cobra White collar Boxing (CWCB) on 29th February 2020 at Vida Sports Centre, Preston . I was just over 21 stone at the beginning of October, from then I have been training at the gym every day doings weights and cardio with strict nutrition, now 18 stone and will continue to carry on now through the 8 week boxing training with (CWCB) before the match.
For detailed information on Goldenhar Syndrome please visit their website www.goldenhar.org.uk, in brief it is a term for non genetic wide range of bone abnormalities affecting the face and sometimes vertebrae, Goldenhar is present in just 1 out of 3,500 to 25,000 babies at birth. I have Goldenhar Syndrome but luckily not severe, I sometimes struggle with it myself so I admire people with Goldenhar of how they deal with it and stay positive. They are a small charity run by families and volunteers so I would like to raise funds for them to help them to have family days where children with Goldenhar and families affected by Goldenhar can get in touch with each other, exchange viewpoints and support.
Ribchester rovers- As member of the committee for the past 6 years I have seen with my own eyes the growth and how much it benefited the community and grassroots football, from when I started a club having one adult team scraping to survive to now having 3 adults team including a women's team, Veterans team, and many kids teams. So volunteering and watching people come together and enjoy, stay fit and healthy and help develop their sporting talents, promoting teamwork and sharing makes it worthwhile. Also I have had a lot of support from the committee who are like a family to me so I'm also doing this as way of thanking them back for their support. For more on idea of what Ribchester Rovers is about and what they do visit www.facebook.com/ribchesterfootballclub. Any donations will go towards equipment and funds for another woman's football team as the women's game and popularity has grown significantly in a short space of time.
I would like to thank Cobra White Collar boxing for giving me this opportunity, The coaches have made me feel welcome, hopefully I will do them proud.
Any donations are much appreciated and will make a difference.
