Story

Many of you know I'm a mad Chesterfield supporter. I've been a Spireite my whole life since first being taken by my Dad. Our highest ever goalscorer, Ernie Moss, a club legend sadly passed away this year after suffering from Picks disease. Picks disease is a form of dementia that has been linked to heading a football.
Sadly many famous footballers have and continue to suffer from dementia, Nobby Stiles, Jack Charlton, Bobby Charlton and most recently Terry McDermott has been diagnosed.
The Jeff Astle Foundation was launched by the family of Jeff Astle. Jeff is a West Brom legend, his family saw the foundation as a fitting and lasting legacy to both raise awareness of brain injury in all forms of sport and to offer much needed support to those affected
