I am going in February 2017 to Western rural Kenya where I am helping children who suffer HIV/AIDS. I am going with an Isle of Wight based charity called 'Uzima in our Hands'. The charity looks after orphans at a day care center, which is what I will be helping with. At the center I will removing jiggers ( a foot disease ) from the children's feet, photographing the children for sponsorship as well as teaching and educating the children.

I have a passion for people as poor and in as dire need as this which is why I have decided to go with my mum next February and help, playing my part which all adds up to giving the children a chance in life. As a Christian I feel compelled out of love to do this, as a moral responsibility.

The money which is donated to me is really actually a sponsorship, as on 5th November I am running 26 miles across the Isle of Wight (where I live) to raise the money I require to make this trip possible.

For the trip, I altogether needed £2000 for me to get there, flights, jabs etc. Within that cost, £500 would directly go to the orphan children. I have already raised £1000 which is why I only need £1000 to make this trip possible.Any extra donations/sponsors I receive will also go directly to the children.
