It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter "Chandran" Swampillai, on Thursday the 27th of April at his home in Cheam, Surrey.

Chandran was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka in 1943 and emigrated to the UK in 1972 where he raised and educated his three daughters. Throughout his life he cared deeply about helping to educate and empower disadvantaged children in Jaffna.

In his memory (and in lieu of floral tributes) we ask that friends and family donate here to fund bicycles, sewing machines and other equipment to help support charities doing excellent work educating and caring for girls in Jaffna (more details to follow).
