The only way to change the poverty situation in Ghana is to educate the young people so they can learn how to change things themselves. It`s the same principle as "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day - teach the man How to fish and you feed him for life"
We all want the young people in this "developing country" to learn how to develop it themselves, for the good of the nation, rather than have it developed by foreign corporations for the benefit of just the privileged few.

To see the effects of poverty on tv or youtube, or other media is bad enough, but to see it first hand, and to witness the frustration it brings to families who cannot afford to send their children to school; this opens up a different set of feelings and a desire to help.

Our plan is to continue to help fund the 5 families that we know, until they are able to complete their schooling, or until their circumstances change so that they can afford it themselves.
If your generosity is sufficient, we will look to help other families also.

Although we have set our target amount to £5000, this is just to satisfy the requirements for the near future. We are hopeful that generous benefactors will contribute. If this is the case, who knows what the possibilities might be. There are villages with no schools at all. Indeed I have been offered land to build a school if we raise enough money.......a wonderful vision, that is.

But feet on the ground for now......and a plea for you to look at your abundance and to give what you can.
