I have been successful in being selected as one of the challengers from Braes High School who will be going on an expedition to Cambodia in June 2020. This expedition will be for three and a half weeks. The group will consist of 18 pupils, 2 members of staff and a world challenge expedition leader. As a group, we will plan our expedition which will include a trek and volunteering with a local project. This conservation, construction or cultural work will help a local community or organisation benefitting Cambodia. I will update this page with more details once we have planned our trip in more detail. Before our expedition we have 18 months of team building and skills development including an expedition weekend.

The cost of our challenge which includes all travel, food, training, expedition leaders and insurance is £3,850. I will be fundraising for 18 months to pay for my trip. I will update this page regularly with my activities. My Dad and I will be completing the classic challenge in September (cycling from Glasgow to Edinburgh) and we are also going to climb Ben Nevis in the summer. I will also be organising local events such as coffee mornings and a car wash, as well as selling goods at fayre stalls. My big brother Harry is not well enough to join me in any of these physical challenges due to his M.E. He really wants to help me and has suggested that when I raise my first £500 he will shave his head!! I am going to join him and shave mine too!!
