Landulph Orchard Green (LOG) - pedal power !
In January 2024 Peter Booth of ‘3skinnybikers’ (seen on left) who lives locally in Landulph, Cornwall will set off with his two friends, Richard and Bob to cycle from Ho Chi Minh City to Saigon. A journey of 3000 km.
Peter believes this is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the LOG project in the wider community and to raise funds to develop the two fields, Duke Orchard and Duchess Green. All money donated will be given to the orchard project.
Duke Orchard will consist of an orchard of local fruit trees with picnic areas and seats with a vista down to the church. Planting is about to begin in this area and the Orchard should open sometime in the New Year. Plans for Duchess Green are still under development but it is hoped that this will be a green space with a pond, micro forest, natural meadow areas and an open grassed meeting space.
Along the ‘road’ Peter will keep you posted with news of the ride and photos, impromptu and staged.
Robbie at Bikespace serviced the bike (a Thorn Sherpa) for the trip and provided very helpful advice and useful tips. When you go to Bikespace you know they will deliver an excellent service. Just ask for AJ.
