Story

Coronavirus is having a hugely negative economic and social impact across the UK, whether that’s job uncertainty or self-isolation, preventing many vulnerable people from buying the basic items they need.

With this in mind, London South East Colleges launched ‘FE Foodbank Friday’ - in partnership with FE week - to support the people in our communities that need it most. The initiative, established on 20th March 2020, saw great success in supporting local food banks in South East London.

As we are physically unable to collect food items under the current circumstances, we are pledging our support to this initiative to raise £1000 for the Peterborough Foodbank instead, so that our local Foodbank can keep operating and helping those in need whilst social distancing measures are in place across the country.

Peterborough Regional College is a major partner in our local community, and we want to do all that we can to support it. By supporting this initiative, we can ensure that the most vulnerable people in our communities are well-looked after and all of us can make it through this pandemic.

We are asking anyone willing during this extremely tough period to consider donating what they can, even if it’s just the amount you’d spend on a takeaway coffee or snack in the workplace each week, to ensure that we can all pull through this crisis together.

Thank you for your kind donation.
